Bradley Hall of Famer’s Honors

Mitchell “JJ” Anderson, outstanding Bradley Braves basketball
all-star from 1978-1982, was honored recently by having the
new Bradley Athletic Facility Men’s practice court named after him.
Highlights of the dedication ceremony revealing this honor will be aired on
CAPtions next week. Speakers include Joanne Glasser, Bradley President;
Michael Heisley, Memphis Grizzlies NBA owner; Jim Les, Bradley Mens’ Basketball Head Coach; and Dana Davis, who along with Anderson, coordinates the All-Star Basketball Camp for youth in Peoria every year.
Also included in the broadcast are clips of the Kick-Off Luncheon for the
Basketball camp. Keynote speaker is Willie Scott, former BU player,
and now a fashion designer company owner and Assistant Bradley
Coach; a lifetime award given to former State Senator George P. Shadid.
The Luncheon served as a fundraiser for George Washington Carver
Community Center.
