And you can sell ads on your own site and collect all the money. Here’s the problem; You have to SELL the ADS. You can’t just post a house as and expect to be contacted by buyers.

The Huffington Post does the same thing. They constantly are asking for writers and photographers to submit photos and writings from concerts, events, etc. and then you can actually have them published on the Huffington Post. For no money! No thanks, Arianna. It’s so easy to build a website or blog now and just do your own thing, I don’t know who would fall for such lunacy.

This is one reason why I don’t like WordPress. Also, you have to click on “No comments yet” to post a comment. The wording should be “Post a comment”. You are probably losing a lot of comments that might have been posted had users known what to click on.

Even here in Peoria, there are people who are, for some reason, intimidated about confronting those they perceive to be powerful. But they will bad mouth and criticize everything, provided they are anonymous.

I convinced Robert Scoble to NOT title his and Shel Israel’s book on business blogging, the offshoot of their Red Couch blog, “Blog or Die” because in some countries, it’s “Blog and Die”. I had tried lots of other lines of reasoning, to no avail. But that one did it. They titled their book “Naked Conversations” and thanked me for turning them away from a bad title in the Acknowledgements.

All you have to do on Blogger is go to Add Gadget, add a Text Gadget, then manually type in whatever blogs you want in a “blogroll”, and you’re done.

Never rely on outside, 3rd party apps for anything in your blog, except stats or hit counters, because you need to retain control over your content.

The bad code spaghetti called WordPress is so full of security holes, I don’t want hackers eating up my stable of blogs. Most of the plugins are dysfunctional or glitchy, last time I wrestled with WordPress for a client. We abandoned Matt Mullenweg’s monstrosity and went with Blogger.

Bloggger…the blogs that Google gives special SEO juice to.

Third: I use the Kroger shopping card and make sure I buy items that are on sale. I usually do pretty good at Kroger that way. But I will be shopping at Hy Vee once it opens up.
