Digital ads outpace print advertising

Here’s some heartening news from Forbes:

A study by Outsell, to be released Monday, reveals that U.S. advertisers are spending more this year on digital media than on print. Long predicted, this Madison Avenue milestone has finally arrived thanks to a 9.6% boom in digital advertising in 2010.

Of course, it will be another ten years before dead tree news organizations stop pooh-poohing the idea that anyone can make money putting news on anything other than paper.

Business is picking up

We are getting advertising and publishing inquiries all the time. And we’ll have a few new advertisers online soon, I believe.

But what we really need are publishers willing to put some code on their sites and maybe pick up some cash when that advertising comes in. The code can be totally invisible until an ad starts to appear, or it can display a house ad promoting ad sales.

Just let us know by calling (309) 863-5748 or by registering as a publisher at TellPeoria.com.
